A War For Your Soul

I just saw a powerful video at http://vimeo.com/3658572 primarily for young African-American males, but an insightful look at the violence between Black youth that has risen 30% since 2002. This video depicts the history of the oppression and suffering from slavery through current day and one view of the causes of current day violence among many young black males.

If you've ever read the Screwtape Letters by C. S. Lewis, you will understand this viewpoint, and whether you believe in the powers of darkness or not, the fact remains that all of us can participate in helping young, at-risk youth turn to positive behavior and away from lives that lead to crime, violence and ultimately prison or death.

There are many societal ills that can be changed, one life at a time.
